The Largest Airport of India to Start Operations by 2024 End
The Noida International Airport (NIA) also known as Jewar Airport is set to be the largest airport of India and one of the largest airports in Asia. According to Financial Express, the trial runs at the airport are expected to start by end of June or beginning of July with 80% of the Phase One of the project completed. As reported in Hindustan Times the flight operations may start from the end of 2024.
The airport is located 7km from Jewar in Gautam Buddha Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh and 72 km from Indira Gandhi International Airport at Delhi. The initial plan is to build a 2-runway airport and later expand it into a 7200 acres 8-runway airport with a capacity to handle 1.2 crore passengers per annum initially.

Japan issues e-visa for Indian tourists
