M.I.C.E Travel outpacing Business Travel in 2023

Travel related to Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events is back with a bang in 2023. The numbers are soaring everyday as corporates in and out India are increasingly organising meeting and incentive programs. Following are few excerpts collected from travel industry experts.

 

  • High demand from corporates is experienced in Asian markets such as Singapore, Hong Kong, and India. 

  • MICE travel growing within India as well as companies from here are hosting meetings and incentive programs abroad.

  • Large sized convention halls of India are already hosting major corporate and social events.

Industry leaders are predicting an upward growth trend of MICE due to G20 events taking place across India and possibility of many big tickets to be followed.



Bengaluru International Airport's T2 to operate all International Flights from August 31

According to a recent update, all international and domestic flyers flying to and from Bengaluru, Karnataka are requested to note that T1 of the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) will only cater to domestic flights from August 31, 2023, 10:45 AM onwards. All international flight operations will be shifted to Terminal 2 or T2.At present, carriers like AirAsia India, Star Air and Vistara are operating their domestic flights from Terminal 2. After the terminal change, all the domestic flights will be shifted to Terminal 1.



Russia Launches E-Visa for Indians

Russia has recently launched Electronic Visa (e-visa) for Indian passport holders. Effective from 1Aug'23, this move comes in the wake of strengthening bilateral ties and promoting tourism between the two nations. This development will enable Indian travellers to apply for their Russian visa quickly and seamlessly. So, no more worries from now if you are planning to travel Russia.



Delhi Airport Launches Biggest Lounge Facility

Delhi International Airport has recently launched Encalm Prive, a top-class business lounge at Terminal 3. This is going to be India's biggest lounge facility as it will address the most common issue of seat shortage and long queues in the Airport. The new lounge presently spans out across 22000 sqft and later it will expand to 30000 sq ft once it becomes fully operational.
